About us
An independent publication about face wash and facial cleansing — no brand payments, no affiliate rankings, no products for sale.
We publish guides about choosing and using a face wash: by skin type, by ingredient, by cleanser format, plus routines and comparisons. Every guide is researched and written by our editorial team, reviewed on a schedule, and published with the date of its last review — including when the review changed nothing.
How we pay for it. We build websites for skincare brands, clinics and stores. That work is completely separate from the editorial side: a client cannot be reviewed more favourably, and no client is named in a guide.
What that means for the guides. No brand, retailer or clinic can buy a mention, a ranking or a link. Where a guide names an ingredient, it is because the evidence for it fits the case being described. Where we have a commercial relationship with something we discuss, the guide says so in the text.
What we do not do. We do not sell cosmetics, we do not run affiliate links, and we do not accept products in exchange for coverage.
This is not medical advice. Our guides describe general skincare practice. Acne that scars, persistent redness, or any skin change that worries you belongs with a dermatologist, and we say so in the guides rather than selling you another cleanser.
Corrections. If something here is wrong or out of date, write to us and we will fix it and re-date the guide. Corrections are made in the text, not quietly.
